Volvo Convertible
The Volvo Convertible is a sleek model whose unique features capture Volvo's traditional values of safety, environmental care and adorns the sporty, elegant and exciting designs.
Its release in the market followed an abortive merger with Renault in the 1990s which marked a turnaround in the company's plans that saw the release of dynamic products such as the C70, Volvo S40 and V40.
Currently the company is working closely with Pininfarina to design and build the next generation Volvo convertibles which are expected in the market by year 2010.
The new models come with powerful engines, automated transmission, front wheel drive and an enhanced suspension capacity. They have been fitted with a tachometer clock and can display external temperature as well as give early warnings on low fuel levels as opposed to the current models. The new models come with rims coated with alloy and a chrome grille.
Furthermore, an elaborate strategy has been adopted to guard on safety measures. The 2010 Volvo convertibles have been fitted with a unique ventilated front disc and solid rear brakes 4 wheel ABS. The front side has been mounted with airbags together with rear head airbags to facilitate air filtration in the car.
The new models front seatbelt pre-tensioners have been improved while the rear door child safety locks enhanced to meet emerging trends in the market. Child seat anchors for emergency and an interior trunk release is another way to guarantee safety.
Other notable features include two front headrests and three rear headrests, a remote controlled anti theft alarm system, an engine immobilizer, day time running lights, and auto delay off headlamps, power door locks and power windows. Comfort accessories include a tilt adjustable steering wheel, front and rear cup holders, front seatback, storage cargo net, climate control interior air filtration, front and rear reading lights.
